Who are you? This may be a simple question to answer for some and perhaps harder for others. But very few would get close to how powerful and great they really are. Some would describe themselves by saying their full name, while others would describe their personality. Some would describe what they do for a living, or their role in the family.
All good answers and there are many other ways to describe yourself. But I bet most of them, like the examples I gave, would involve your body, or your brain or both. And that is what causes a lot of our problems. Because someday your body and your brain are going to be put into a box and buried six feet under the ground, but you are going to live on. So you can’t only be your body and your brain.
The truth is your body and brain are temporary tools that you are currently using. Similar to your car, house or smart phone. You wouldn’t describe yourself as your car, house or phone would you? Well some may describe themselves as their phone.
The fact is you are a Spirit. A Powerful, beautiful Spirit of God. Joint heirs with Christ the bible says. Since he is the King of all Kings that means quite a lot. Putting all the wealth and mansions aside, I would like to talk about what your Spirit has inherited already that you can use right now, and that is all of Jesus’s powerful personality traits.
The bible says your Spirit is made with nine different power qualities. Your Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, kindness and self-control. That is who you really are, your true self. And I would like to help you tap into it.
Until now your brain has done much of your thinking and feeling for you, and has led you to believe you had no other choice. But the bible is very clear that our Spirit has the power and ability to override our body and brain, we can choose what we want to think and feel. The bible also very clearly states our Spirit will be in a battle with our body and our brain, but we are much more powerful. It’s part of our test of being a child of God.
Since you are love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, kindness and self-control. Don’t you think it’s time to started believing it? This Earth can be a hard place to live. Difficult and cruel sometimes, made only worse by not knowing or forgetting who you are.
There is great power in I am statements, claiming who and what you truly are. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. And God said unto Moses, “I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
I suggest you boldly claim authority over your body and mind by saying, I am Love, I am a loving person, I am loved. I am Joy, I am Joyful, I am feeling Joyful. I am peace, I am peaceful. I am feeling peaceful right now. I am self-control, I am in control of my life. I am in control of my body’s addictions, I am in control of my thoughts, I am in control of my feelings, I am in control of my actions.
I am goodness, I am a good person, I am good to other people. I am faith, I am faithful that God is on my side. I am strong in my faith that things are going to work out for my good. I am patience, I am a patient person, I am going to show others that I am patience, I have faith that I am a patient person. I am kindness, I am kind to others, I love that I am kindness. I am gentleness, I am gentle, I am gentle towards others, I am able to make my thoughts and feelings gentle. And so on.
As you see, you can be creative in your I am statements. If you want to get a little more religious. The bible says that everything in Heaven and Earth must bow to the powerful name of Jesus. So you could put “I command in the name of Jesus” in front of any of my previous examples of I am statements. For example you could say, I command in the name of Jesus I am love, I command in the name of Jesus I am a good person, or I command in the name of Jesus I am in control of my body and mind. I command in the name of Jesus I am feeling peaceful right now.
Pick one of your Spirits powerful attributes you want to work on first. Next pick several of either mine or your own, I am statements, and say them one at a time slowly with feeling and passion a number of times in a row. Pick as many Spirit attributes you have time for, but it is important you make the time for the one you need the most. Continue to do this each day until you believe it, or whenever you need it. Formula for success; Repetition + Positive Statement = Powerful Blessing. Don’t forget who you are!
GOD LOVES US A MILLION TIMES MORE THAN WE LOVE OURSELVES.
I know a million times sounds like a lot of times. But I assure you it is truth and not an exaggeration. The first thing and the most important thing to realize is that God’s love for you has nothing to do with anything you have done, and everything to do with who God is. While I was in Heaven I was shown and taught many different times of how great God’s unconditional love is for us.
Like the very lengthy question and answer time I spent with the Jesus and the Holy Spirit when I first arrived in Heaven in the greeting Cathedral where they explained everything humanly possible.
And right after that the time I spent with Jesus in Heaven when he explain everything else supernaturally once he took my hand and showed me all of Heaven on our way to judgment day. Or the hundreds of millions Souls in Heaven during judgment day that gave me unconditional love for every single thing I did in my life both good and bad, expanding my capability to love to supernatural proportions. And of course we can’t leave out the time just before I left Heaven when I was standing face to face before God himself, while he taught me everything else I needed to learn, and as I looked into his eyes he showed me exactly how he sees all of us. And I saw a depth of unconditional love so great that it encompasses the entire width and span of the universe. Even greater than the space that holds all of the stars in the universe.
The dictionary’s definition for unconditional love is as follows “Unconditional Love is known as affection without limitations. It can also be love without conditions”. That is exactly my experience of God’s love. Limitless love without conditions. That means a God that loves us no matter what.
We all have preconceived ideas of what God is like. Much of which has been taught to us by other people. Maybe you think like most people that God gets mad at you or punishes you when you are bad. Maybe you think that God is so much better than you that he would never want to be close to you. Maybe all that was necessary when you were young but now that you are an adult you want more, deep down you know there is more.
Here is what Apostle Paul said when he died and came back from Heaven, “but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love”. 1 Corinthians 13:10-13
The God in Heaven I saw wasn’t only a reflection like in a mirror as people on earth see him, I saw him face to face. And I didn’t just see a part of God like people on earth see him, rather I saw him fully, even as I was fully known.
Let me tell you what the God that I saw in Heaven is like and how he sees us on earth. He loves us unconditionally of course, he isn’t angry at us, and he is far more kind, and forgiving than the human mind can even comprehend. He wants to be as close to us as you would your own best friend, with no judgments, always supportive, always willing to listen to us, and wanting to do everything he can to help us. Scripture says “that we should come boldly to the throne of God, and there we will find grace to help us in our times in need”. Hebrews 4:16
God truly and honestly loves us a million times more than we love ourselves and he wants to give us unlimited blessings if we let him. There are many ways to expand your love and faith and increase your blessings from God some of the ways you already know. We at Power, Love, and a Sound Ministries will share all the ways we know also. Here is one simple way to start, say both to yourself and out loud when others can’t hear you, that God loves you a million times more than you love yourself. Say this at least ten times a day every day and this will help expand your love. Concentrate and speak slowly with feeling each time you say it. This is just another way that we can creates an attitude that makes us feel good about ourselves and that creates a space where we feel we deserve to receive. Remember it is in that space of believing that we deserve to receive that miracles happen and we allow God to bless us. Think of God’s blessings like the running water in your home. It is there all the time waiting for you, all you have to do is turn it on.
There is no fear in love, because perfect love casts out all fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears does not know that God is perfected love.
